What type of photography style is On-Point Photography?
On-Point’s main shooter, Nicky, has a style of traditional with a bit of elegance and artistic flare. Nicky shoots both traditional portraits and also focus on in-the-moment candids.  She strives to produce a very natural perspective of your family/event with touches of epic moments and artistic images.

Do you edit the photographs?
Of course! Each final image is edited by Nicky, owner and main shooter for On-Point Photography, to make sure they all reflect On-Point’s style. Black and White versions of each image are included as well.
Additional editing such as blemish removals, can be requested but may incur additional charges.

How Long before I get to see my photos and how many will I get?
On-Point Photography strives for high quality images and efficient turnaround time. After your photo shoot you can expect session highlights and previews to be posted to On-Point Photography’s Facebook page within 1-2 business days. The average turnaround time for your complete session portfolio is 2 to 3 weeks. Your photos will be placed on a custom flash-drive and mailed to you with personal print release and copyright information.
A typical 1 hour family session will produce about 60-100 final images. A typical 6 hour wedding will produce about 600-1000 final images. But, because every session is different, we don’t guarantee a specific number.

Do you take credit cards?
Most of our clients pay by check. However, we do offer the option of credit card payments through PayPal. Clients using the PayPal payment option may incur  a processing fee, usually around 3%.

What should I wear?
The most asked question is “what do we all wear?” Wardrobe is one of the largest contributors to a successful photo shoot. It is all about the right selection of not only color but textures, prints and accessories.  My suggestion is to keep it simple and make sure everyone is comfortable, select colors from the same color family and avoid clothing with words printed on them. Solid Neutrals or earth tones always look nice. Black, White, Brown, tan and Grey all work very well. If neutrals aren’t your thing and you still don’t know where to start I like to suggest wearing colors that coordinate with your home décor so once you have them printed, framed and hung they will match.

What time should I arrive at the location of my photo shoot?
Around 10 minutes before the time of the session. This will allow time for you to find the location, touch up wardrobes or make up and chat with Nicky before your shoot, still allowing the full amount of shooting time.

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Bad weather happens, but what you consider as bad weather may be great for photos. Nicky will keep a very close eye on the weather forecast and will reschedule outdoor sessions as soon as possible if the weather just isn’t going to work.

Can we get more copies of the pictures on USB for friends and family?
Of course! We want you to share your images as much as you want. Additional custom flash-drives are just $25 each.

Do you work with an assistant or second shooter?
Nicky is the main shooter for On-Point Photography sessions and weddings. The option of an additional photographer is available at an additional charge.
